Serial Number Saxophone Yamaha
Yamaha Saxophone Serial Number Chart Though rare, the Buescher straight alto was a production item instrument while the manzello was indeed a saxello with a custom-made bell. Another unusual variant of the saxophone is the Conn-O-Sax, a straight-conical bore instrument in F (one step above the E ♭ alto) with a slightly curved neck. Note: From 1987 to present, add 50 to the serial number prefix to calculate the year of manufacture.1980 - 1986 serial numbers are for student trumpet and cornets only. Other cup mouthpiece serial numbers are not available at this time.

Yamaha Saxophone Serial Number Chart. Pre-1916 Kings are Kohlert or Evette & Schaeffer stencils. The King Tempo is a Keilwerth stencil. The King Lemaire is a Kohlert or Amati stencil (probably Kohlert). The name is from King's association with SML: Strasser-Marigaux-Lemaire. The King Marigaux is an SML stencil. Just for others, it is serial number 050 419, which seems early-ish. It has the Tuning fork symbol on the bell, followed by the word YAMAHA in capitals, with JAPAN on the 'next line'. The body has the word YAMAHA in capitals, with the model (YAS-23) underneath that, and the serial number (050 419) beneath that. Here is a table of Vito Sax serial no.' S, manufacture dates, manufacturers, country of origin, etc. I haven't found any reference tables for Vitos out there, so I started this one for myself and decided to share it. 2007 - Use this CHART to date your Made-In-Japan 7131RK Vito Altos.
